CLUB HISTORY
The main focus of FMAATC is to provide a source of information so that collectors
can identify and restore their AA's. The club is a Chapter of MAFCA and a Region of MARC.
The newsletter is mailed in April of each year. Articles for the newsletter are requested.
They should be received by the first of January. Items-for-sale may also be sent in by
February 15th for inclusion in the "Truck Market" section of the newsletter. Technical
questions are welcomed (with a SASE or e-mail to wilsmor@juno.com).
Response time depends on the research time involved. Many of these questions and answers
are included in the newsletter for all members to read.
A membership roster and the "Ford Model AA Truck Registry" Is available free via e-mail
to wilsmor@juno.com or via the USPS (check your current newsletter for the price). If
information is needed about a truck, members with that same truck can be contacted for
information.
The "Ford Model AA Truck Club" was started in July of 1986 with 24 members. Bill Cilker
of California took on the responsibility of the club. In October 1987, the club received
a chapter charter from the "Model A Ford Club of America" (MAFCA). In January 1989, the
club became a region of the "Model A Restorers Club" (MARC).
From the club's beginning through 1994, Bill sent out seven newsletters and held several
club meetings at various MAFCA national meets. In early 1995 Bill transferred club
responsibility to Neil Wilson of Colorado. Starting in 1995, the yearly newsletter has
been sent out in April of each year. There have been several club meeting at MAFCA and
MARC national meets. Meeting are held when members volunteer to take responsibility for
conducting them.
